Abstract

This study examined the effects of the working relationships between African-American and Euro-American co-workers within a corporate employment setting. This study also examined behavioral adaptation patterns of African-Americans who work primarily with Euro-American co-workers within the corporate employment setting. Finally, this study examined the dynamics of cultural identity loss or identity repression as a result of consistent behavior modificationand adaptation patterns. This was a qualitative study, using grounded theory. It included two face to interviews with three African-American males ages 35 to 38. All participants were employed within the corporate work setting a minimum of three years.
