dc.description.abstractThe increase in online education in higher education institutions necessitates a shift in the practice of instruction. While teaching online is different from teaching face-to-face classes, the instructor role is still of vital importance. This chapter shares how instructors demonstrate presence before, throughout, and after an online course based on best practice and research.
