dc.description.abstract | Recent advances in the field of experiential couple's therapy have demonstrated promising results in improving distressed relationships. Attachment research has also progressed, and has shown that attachment bonds and relational connection play a significant role in individual and family wellbeing, health, happiness, and development. Although there are existing programs that focus on prevention and relationship enhancement, many of these programs do not utilize the newest techniques in experiential and attachment research. These programs are also often geared towards a narrow demographic of couples that are in the pre-marital stage of life and / or religious. After reviewing the latest literature in these areas, the author has drawn upon existing evidence-based programs, techniques, and interventions in order to design an experientially based relationship enhancement and development (RED) program. This program is intended to meet the needs of a broader range of couple's, while utilizing the latest advancements in the field of couple's therapy | |
