Abstract
For the purpose of this thesis, the term consciousness is being regarded as subjective personal or collective human experience of being that includes a variety of mental, psychological, spiritual and physiological states. Within the fields that study consciousness, such as cognitive science, psychology, philosophy, spiritual traditions and others there is no widely accepted definition of this term, but there are several paradigms of it that have evolved within these disciplines.
