This thesis examines the viewpoint of philosophical counselling on diagnoses in comparison and contrast to the medical model and narrative and solution focused therapies. It also examines philosophical counselling's viewpoint on informal diagnoses in comparison to what psychotherapists use as technical language. The limitations of philosophical counselling are also discussed.
