Abstract
The need is to continue to improve leadership skills and behaviors. Using the same skills and behaviors can be detrimental as criminal behaviors change over time. Law enforcement has seen a significant increase in identity theft, fraud, and computer crimes thus showing a need for emiloyees to change their skills. The community and the organization are constantly changing and employees need to change with it. The purpose of this study was to look at alternative means for appropriate feedback within the law enforcement culture. After concluding the feedback and the coaching follow-up, I gathered data from all participants to help us better understand if the law enforcement community could benefit from the 360-degree feedback. Throughout this process I explored the readiness of the Vacaville Police Department for 360-degree feedback, the implementation phase, the coaching and follow-up needed.
