Abstract
In order to accomplish the goal of this thesis, I conducted a variety of research methods. I then divided that research into six sections. The Methodology section outlines the tools I used to gather appropriate information pertinent to my topic. These methods included a review of current literature, interviews with parents of children with autism, interviews with museum professionals currently programming for families of children with autism, and interviews with professionals at organizations that serve the autism community. As I conducted my research, I found many topics that were either outside of the scope of my project or beyond my educational understanding. Such items are outlined in the Limitations section.
