Abstract
The impact of immigrating to Canada is multidimensional for Chinese immigrant families that are coming from mainland China. In order to fulfill their child-rearing goals within the Canadian culture, Chinese immigrant parents are faced with challenges in terms of their cultural value, personal core belief, parenting styles, and the ways of interaction with their children. Particularly the Chinese immigrant sole mothers are experiencing challenges that could be the result of this change in the family dynamics.
