Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop awareness and offer guidance about succession planning for the leadership of Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Programs. This study will identify the need for succession planning in Migrant and Seasonal Programs by interviewing three Migrant and Seasonal Head Start executive level individuals, researching and analyzing corporate and non-profit succession plans, and by reviewing one selected Human Resource personnel management system and interviewing one of its executive level individual to determine if succession planning is incorporated as part of the program. This study will also assist in the development of a viable succession planning model for Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Programs based on their needs.
