Abstract
This master's project examines the idea of strengthening partnerships between museums and schools; specifically, how to make them work as a growing, thriving system. For the purposes of this thesis, the term partnership will be used in a more specific way than in most of the literature on the topic. Partnership will refer to those programs in which museums and schools work together in a way that involves multiple visits by students or teachers, and in which both museum educators and classroom teachers have had input into the structure and content of the program.
