Abstract
This paper will discuss existing OD theory as it relates to the larger field of nonprofit organizations, and grassroots, social change organizations in particular, and investigate the relationship of these organizations to the process of change in OD practice through a qualitative phenomenological research study. This study is an effort to contribute to the field of research by asking the central question: What is the experience of organizational change in a grassroots, social change non profit? What in these organizations facilitates change, and what hinders change?
