Abstract
Defining the self as a whole person comes as a result of the process of change. This process is individualized, with different forms of health information, experiences, breakthroughs and understanding around resistance gained throughout. Yet within this process, there are stages that can be outlined in order to ground a person during their journey. These stages include crisis/catalyst, the search, instability, the big/subtle shift, and building on successes. The process is not linear, nor does it contain a designated endpoint, but rather it reemerges again and again in our lives, but within an evolved framework from which to handle the issues and conflicts that arise.
