Abstract
The purpose of this case study was to determine if mental imagery during pre-season training assist's a downhill skier during the transition to slope training. Snow-ski athletes (cross-country and downhill) have the disadvantage of being dependent on weather conditions to practice their sport. During the off-season months, these skiers realize the importance of mental training when they are not able to practice skiing on snow. It is the belief of the author that mental training will ease or shorten the transition to physical practice on the ski slopes.
