Abstract

The purpose of this Master's Project is to design pre-visit material to orient high school students to use science museums exhibits to their fullest. The goal of the product is to make science available, understandable, and appealing to students. The product is a pre-visit museum orientation in the form of a short video. In this video, high school students are role models who guide the viewer through different types of science exhibits in three institutions in the Bay Area: The California Academy of Sciences, the Exploratorium, and The Tech Museum of Innovation.
