The intention of this project i3 to examine the current landscape of employee recruitment. After a brief review of how recruitment: has developed, the remainder of the information gathering will concentrate on current trends for identifying, recruiting, and retaining new employees. Included within this approach is tae exploration of what it takes to recruit the right people in a time when most are not looking to stay long term. This project will interview 6 internal HR participants, two each in for-profIt companies, non-profit institutions, and government agencies. A review of the recruitment practices of for-profit companies, non-profit institutions, and government agencies through semi-s'ructured interviews with individuals currently working in this field will aid in the creation of a panoramic view of sector specific practices, as well as the identification of overarching approaches that might work for all. The intended result is the identification of effective and non-effective practices currently demonstrated in organizations. In addition, this project will try to identify the projections for the development of skillful recruitment practices in the future.
