Abstract
The research for this master's project is two-fold; it is an examination of the executive transition as it occurs in museums, as well as an overview of systems thinking. Framing and guiding my research is the overarching question of whether systems thinking is capable of mitigating the disruptive nature of the executive transition. Through my methodologies, I hoped to uncover the potential for this connection and the implication systems thinking might have on a museum's experience with an executive transition.
