Abstract
This proposal has been written as a precursor to conduct research about resiliency in Aboriginal female youth who live on reserve in rural Western Canada. Positive adaptation to adversity is the chosen definition for resiliency in this proposal because it honours the unique context that culture, resistance, gender and environment serve one's lived experience. Measuring resiliency using a questionnaire including a unique cultural subscale before and after treatment creates an opportunity to learn if the treatment manual "It's A Girl's Thang" serves to build resiliency in Aboriginal female youth living on reserve in rural Western Canada.
