In this paper, the links between racism and the environmental crisis are explored, with privilege being the underlying factor. I will explain how privilege works to keep us separate from our true selves as well as from other people and the planet itself. White privilege and environmental privilege will be deconstructed to expose their relationship to each other. Ultimately, through examining privilege and social justice, a path toward a multicultural and environmentally sustainable future can be found.
