Abstract

A need for education regarding brain health is prominent in America's workforce today. The most direct and effective way to impact the brain is through the gut. An eight-week gut and brain healing (GAB) program for employees will look at brain health through the lens of healing and supporting the gut holistically. The GAB program for employees provides the information in an easy to understand way coupled with community support of the participant's work environment. The GAB program is designed to provide busy full-time employees with basic information and ideas for supporting their brain health through gut-healing behaviors. By being mindful of the importance of stimulation, oxygen, and fuel, employees can begin to view their daily activities in terms of how they are helping or harming their brain while simultaneously strengthening social connections at the workplace and experiencing higher job satisfaction.
