Abstract

In the case of BAE Systems it is appropriate to implement a Shared Services delivery model because the company withes to maintain HR competencies within the business, the company is interested in as much uniformity and consistency as possible, and the local managers are not willing to assume the additional responsibilities of solely managing the human resources function. In fact, given the size and complexity of BAE Systems' businesses as well as the business goals that it needs to achieve, it is critical for BAE Systems to implement a Shared Services model. Failure to implement will create unnecessary costs and reduces the chance to create new solutions and systems o be1er serve the customers.
