Abstract
Many school districts have made progress in joining the digital age by installing computers into classrooms and by gaining access to the Internet. The purpose of this study was to focus on how one school is using technology in the classroom. This study employed the use of descriptive research methods and the use of a self-developed instrument to gather data from 40 elementary school teachers from a large urban school district. After reviewing the data collected, it was possible to conclude that the 40 teachers surveyed generally used technology in the classroom on a regular basis, yet remain eager to learn about more computer applications. Common threads within what the respondents reported indicated that the staff's technology experience as a whole was average. It was evident that the 40 teachers surveyed required more training in technology and various computer application programs.
