Abstract
This thesis is the culmination of a year long project researching and testing the theory of multiple intelligence as it relates to assessment in a classroom setting.
Finding creative ways to teach standardized curriculum was not only a fulfilling endeavor, but the yearly test results of the students proved that it was a beneficial and necessary component of a good education. Through my project, I discovered that children performed higher on standardized tests when the regular classroom instruction was creative and addressed all areas of intelligence. I also discovered that students are very aware of their areas of intelligence, as their self-assessments continually matched their work in other areas.
