Abstract
So many factors need to be considered when applying procedures for long-term sustainability. PepsiCo really understands what it means for an organization to remain sustainable in such a changing global economy, especially considering the recent economic hardships. One challenge that also remains prevalent in organizations is that of continuing the human factor or human culture as companies grow and merge or acquire new businesses.
Through research, I have learned that a lot of companies fail in their attempt to blend with other companies and lose one of the most important components of why they merged in the first place-growth. Just as PepsiCo merges and acquires continually, the system should be in place to allow for the challenges that lie ahead and the potential for not only business growth but for human growth as well.
