This thesis will illustrate the need for renovating the storage facilities at the Manes Museum and will show how this renovation will solve problems now plaguing those facilities. Some of the important factors that will be decribed in this thesis are: proper planning for space utilization; placement and examples of storage furniture; placement of the collections in the storage space for accessibility; museum retrieval systems; and object care.
