Abstract
The project was to develop a slide collection of the non-profit exhibition and performance spaces in the East Bay and San Francisco; to visually document work exhibited; and to reflect the physical aspect of the location. It is the nature of installation and performance work to respond to the physical environment; many of these places have been developed to fulfill the need for exposure of non-traditional art. The slides serve as historical documents of a specific situation and time period.
