Abstract

Handwriting is individual and evolving. Repeated writing of a single word is never an exact duplication. The letters may appear the same, but there will be a slight variation in size, shape, or a number of other characteristics. This project examines the similarities found in handwriting samples of relatives, as compared to non-relatives. There is a limited amount of research on this topic; therefore, samples have been collected for comparison. This research may expand on current findings. The first objective is to determine similarities among class characteristics within a family. Three control families have been included for comparison purposes. The second objective is to determine if any individual characteristics are discovered. Included are handwriting samples from this research that will aid in answering the hypothesis questions.
