Abstract

It is well known in the field of organizational development that many significant organizational change efforts do not achieve the needed results. It is the goal of this study to learn more about how individuals experience loss during organizational change in order to improve the ways that such important interventions are planned and implemented, to enhance the chances for organizational success going forward. By understanding more about how these changes impact the individuals who make up organizations, it is hoped that more successful outcomes can be realized. The question this study sought to answer was whether there are consistencies in the different ways people experience organizational change that are aligned with their Myers Briggs personality type preferences. Particular focus was given to the experience and interpretation of loss as it occurs within the context of organizational' change.
