Abstract
Forensic entomology is the study of insects and their development as it applies to legal matters. Lord & Stevenson (1986) divided forensic entomology into three components: urban entomology (legal proceedings involving insects and related animals that affect man-made structures and other aspects of the human environment), stored products entomology (proceedings involving insects infesting stored commodities such as cereals and other kitchen products), and mediolegal entomology. Mediolegal entomology is the focus of this review.
