Abstract

Alternative medicine is steadily gaining more attention from the media, consumers and even conventional medicine. This vast growth and the absence of a central organization has spurred a need for an infrastructure for the alternative medical industry, one that will add credibility and the missing educational component to its promotion. My professional background in marketing plus my education in holistic health, combined with my interest in medicine and experience in seeking alternative medical care, has culminated in my idea of creating The Holistic Health Council to provide organization and solidity for the field.
