This thesis involved a phenomenological study into the lived experience of 3 participants who had been through a completed course of psychotherapy and who had noticed a moment of insight during or after that therapy. It was the remarking of their experience of insight and the consequent analysis and results, which lead to a generalized pattern of insight progression and anticipated associated elements, reinforcing and supporting previous research literature on the neurological aspects of insight, other phenomenological studies of psychotherapy, and offering possible practical applications for the future.
