Abstract

My strategy is to come up with a solution that would create tax savings for GE to operate in the US, where they do not have to invest their earnings in a foreign country. Some of the obstacles faced would be loss of earnings initially from hiring in the US and I think that it might be harder to deal with the recession at the same time; also, GE has to satisfy the stockholders at the same time and be responsible for creating an image where they are considered socially responsible. The systems point of view is to keep in mind that leadership at GE, as an organization has to create a system that would be morally responsible and they have to ultimately take responsibility for all the decisions made. The question is that if jobs come back, people will have to accept a lower wage because they also have to justify bringing these jobs back. If jobs do not come back, workers will have a harder time and there will be an increase in unemployment during this period of recession.
