Abstract
I have chosen to write about upaya mainly as an exercise in strengthening my bond with the truths lying within the doctrines of Kashmir Shaivism. I have found it to be a path for active, energetic seekers. Its study is one of the ways that helps to keep me active and engaged. When studying it with others I have found that it has never failed to uplift the group as a whole. For me, it is a most sublime, most optimistic, and, at the same time, a most realistic and responsible way of perceiving the world, the individual, and That which connects the "two." Studied in this light, with this purpose, it becomes a meditation.
