| dc.description.abstract | Currently the price displays in big retail stores like Vons, Ralphs are printed tags. Whenever prices have to be chanwed, it consumes lot of time, effort, money and resources. Using the latest wireless technologies available these printed price displays can be changed to electronic shelf labels, where the prices are changed at one centralized location. This research project mainly aims at designing an application which runs on the PC with a list of all items in the store. Using this list, the store manager can update the prices from his desk and transmit them wirelessly to the display unit near the product. This saves lot of time, money, manual effort and resources. | |
