The current project is an updated study of one that was done by Myers & Briggs in the early 1960's. Utilizing the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II, the researcher examined the relationship between personality type and leadership. Fortune 500 CEOs from the San Francisco East Bay were used as the population for all intents and purposes of this research project. The results found that indeed, there was a shift in expected Myers-Briggs Type Indicator for leaders. In earlier research, Myers-Briggs coined ENTJ as the "Natural Born Leader". In this current research, 42% of the sample were typed, ESTJ, with 0% reporting a type of ENTJ. There is a difference between the current study and the previous study by Myers & Briggs.
