Abstract
This study used a qualitative approach to understand the attitudes and perceptions of South Asians towards seeking counselling services residing in British Columbia, Canada. The study consisted of semi-structured interviews with four participants residing in BC, age group ranging from 50-60. The participants for the present study were one male and three females who volunteered in response to the advertisement placed at local temples and word of mouth. The research was gathered using Critical Incident Technique (CIT) specifically focusing on perceptions of South Asians regarding the underutilization of professional counselling services. Subsequently, the responses gathered were analyzed and discussed in this research study.
