Abstract

This study will attempt to determine the increase in self-efficacy of athletes going through a P.E.G. This paper will also show how the program will enable an athlete to make the transition from non-injury to injury and back to non-injury status easier and with a healthier self-image of performance during activities. The hypothesis of this paper is athletes participating in a Performance Enhancement Group will increase confidence and self-efficacy, and therefore they should have a faster rate of recovery over athletes not participating in the group, because of the peer and professional support.
