| dc.description.abstract | "Ritual of Becoming" consists of fourteen pieces which represent a reflection of past experimentations and a deeper understanding of my artwork. The paper wall reliefs and sculptures make up a series that represent both "old" and "new" skins for me. When installed, the paper pieces interact with one another as if they were communicating. As a culmination of all past elements found in my work, the pieces in the series share the use of juxtaposed colors, concern for dimension, incorporation of structure, and interest in surface texture. | |
