Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to review some of the personality characteristics of obese and normal weight women who are preoccupied with food, diets, and weight in one form or another. This study attempts to identify personality differences between these two groups. The understanding of some of the major personality differences can be helpful in providing effective therapy to women of both groups.
