This paper explores the impact of sexual trauma on women, including intimacy in relationships. It addresses the importance of the topic, followed by an in-depth literature review. The literature review highlights the mental, physical, and emotional impacts of sexual trauma and current interventions for mental health support. Gaps in mental health support for women who have experienced sexual trauma are discussed, and a psycho-educational workshop for clinicians to help better support women with intimacy challenges following sexual trauma is proposed.
