In this master's project, I explore how the National Museum of Afghanistan can build its capacity to become a sustainable museum. Identifying the National Museum of Afghanistan's current needs is an important factor in forging partnerships with international institutions and aid organizations that are able and willing to assist revitalization efforts. Individual, cultural and organizational interest in Afghanistan and the importance of its cultural heritage is ignited by awareness and creating awareness requires access to the fundamental knowledge that my research provides.
