Abstract
This study examined the effect of exercising with The Wave (a water-guided exercising device). The hypothesis was that one's coordination and balance would improve and, through the developmental process, one's self-esteem would be enhanced. Eleven high school students actively engaged in a 30-day, 50-minute per session, structured exercise program. Each student completed the Physical Performance Test for California and the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory as pre- and post-tests. Scores were significantly higher on post-testing. It is suggested, however, that a second study with a greater number of participants be conducted.
