Integrative Fitness for Better Living is an approach to exercise that is based in holistic principles. This paper is meant for personal trainers and fitness instructors who are interested in the mind/body/spirit connection and want to move from an exclusively body-focused way of fitness to the idea of integrative fitness, which encompasses the mind, body, and spirit. By redefining traditional concepts, taking a holistic perspective, and adding other mind/body/spirit practices, clients and patrons of exercise can deepen their workout routines to support personal development and self-awareness.
