Abstract
Medico-legal death investigation system is a term to describe the investigation that goes into the cause and manner of death. The term also implies a combination of medicine and law, but it is much more complex. Death investigation can include many fields, but is not limited to medical examiner/coroner, forensic pathologist, criminalist, or trained, forensic death investigator many.or all of whom may complete the process of the medico-legal death investigation system. This thesis will examine the various flaws of the system, reasons why the causes of death may be incorrect, and the importance of the autopsy and correct death certificates. Finally, there will be some recommendations on standardizing procedures and making the medico-legal death investigation system more efficient and accurate.
