Abstract
This meta analysis will be conducted on 100 articles to discover quantitative research regarding teaching strategies specifically for the needs of students with NLD. The information will be difficult to find. Most articles are of a qualitative nature. This meta analysis will not provide any statistical validation to the teaching strategies presented. It will, however, make valuable suggestions of possible teaching strategies and accomodations that might be effective with students with NLD. Research, to date, implies that NLD is a serious condition and that educators should continue to investigate the causes and consequences of NLD and the strategies for teaching students with NLD. Further quantitative research might validate some of the strategies presented. The bulk of the literature reviewed for this meta analysis agreed that there are no exact measures of variables in diagnosing NLD. Nor has any criteria been developed as to how many of the characteristics need to be present for a diagnosis of NLD to be made.
