Adolescents experience a number of different situations throughout their high school experiences. Nature is often not one of these difficulties. Ecotherapy practices (connecting with nature) can be useful and supportive processes for adolescents. The review of the literature suggests that nature can play an important role in healing, recovery, and the promotion of resilience. The objective of this project is to review what ecotherapy is and how it helps promote resiliency for adolescents in a high school setting. In particular, the development of an ecotherapy program for at-risk adolescents will be shared.
