Abstract
The purpose of this project was to create a reference guide to aid museum professionals in the reframing of European deceased modern masters' paintings in museums. The guide also intends to raise awareness of the importance of the frame in the appreciation of a painting. The guide is directed to those in charge of framing in museums, usually curators, conservators, and registrars, and also private collectors and people interested in the subject.
