The personal training industry, with its emphasis on the physical aspect of the individual and financial gains of corporations, has led to a decline in client satisfaction over time. This paper applies holistic coaching principles to personal training sessions, focusing especially on the International Coaching Federation (ICF) core competencies and the coaching toolkit. The Transformation Readiness Assessment Questionnaire (TRAQ) is introduced as a holistic upgrade to the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q), which focuses primarily on the physical dimension of the individual and is most commonly used in health facilities around the country. The use of coaching principles along with the TRAQ is proposed as a solution to the problem of unaddressed mental, emotional, and spiritual issues that underlie common physical diseases while empowering health professionals and clients to find what is most meaningful in their health and lives.
