Abstract

Perception Rehabilitation is a comprehensive, transformational model that allows for body, mind, spirit healing through stress elimination. Both sympathetic and parasympathetic dominance are explored in depth as well as practical examples of how they affect our lives. This model is built on a three-tier concept of awareness, identification, and transformation. Each of these three tiers is looked at from a body, mind, spirit perspective. The process of eliminating unwanted stress is to be aware of what stress does to the body, how our perceptions activate that stress, and the underlying beliefs that cause the stress. The next step is to identify the situations, triggers, and beliefs that led to the stress in the first place. Once the individual is aware of and has identified the stress stimuli, they can begin a process of transforming their perceptions to create new beliefs that lead to healing and safety in the body.
