Abstract
Importantly, this question was recently raised within AAASP by the Certification Committee Chair, Damon Burton. In his article in the fall 2000 AAASP Newsletter entitled, "Fellows Agree: Time is Right to Explore Major Certification Changes," Burton (2000) suggests that one issue to consider is "multiple-level certification that includes master's' level consultants" (p. 11). Currently, there is no data supporting a specific academic degree level that should be required by AAASP to certify consultants. The purpose of this study is to investigate the opinions of AAASP members regarding the issue of certifying master's' level consultants.
