Abstract
TransFair USA is a hybrid non-profit organization in Downtown Oakland, California, providing fair trade certification for products in the U.S. The organization is in a time of rapid expansion, and due to mismanaged growth, it is experiencing high turnover among both mid-level and senior staff. This case explains the current status of TransFair USA, and using the learning organization and systems thinking framework, presents three possible solutions to the above issue of mismanaged growth. Other important factors for organizational change are emotional intelligent leaders, strategic management and planning.
